AGS – 5 YEARS 1 JOURNEY: BUILDING TRUST – CREATING VALUE
5 years – a journey is not too long, but it has a great meaning with proud achievements and marks the maturity of AGS - the company operating in the aviation industry. There are many factors that contributed to these achievements, however, the most important factor is all employees, who are dedicating and sharing the common values and have spread this spirit in AGS’s development during the past 5 years.
Established on December 30, 2015; AGS has officially started into operation in July 01, 2016 by serving Vietnam Airlines’ flight with the flight number VN1942 (CXR-DAD). From a modest AGS, it had only 180 employees with 10 departments; by January 2020, we have created 3 more departments (Service Quality Management Department, Training Center, Ground Service Equipment Maintenance Division) , it has a total of 13 departments with 425 employees. From serving 24 flights/day, AGS has served 38 flights/day in January 2020. And from having only one customer, AGS has signed the contract with 18 customer airlines up to now and served 85,320 flights and 13,598,010 passengers.
Through 5 years, with the vision is to become the best ground handling partner for the customer airlines and toward to core value – focus on the customer, innovation, professional, safety and security; AGS has incessantly improved service quality to bring the most values to the customer and reached the proud achievements such as getting 9001:2015 certificate and ISAGO certificate, receiving The Best Ground-Handling Unit from Vietnam Airlines, obtaining 2 awards from China Southern Airlines “Excellent Service Agent” and “Safety Handle Award”, and many complimentary letters from airlines representatives and passengers who had evaluated AGS’ service quality.
Human-focused is one of AGS' business mottoes– respect of human values and toward creating the professional and modern working environment, maximizing the right of all employees to work, dedicate, honor. From 2015 up to now, AGS has continuously made improvements in personnel policy, taken care of employees’ lives, set up bonus and welfare funds, established trade unions, focused on training activity, and organized and promoted the programs or emulation movements among departments. Besides the scale construction and development of the operation, AGS has considered the community activities as company responsibility, we always care and actively participate in the social activities and movements from local to the nation.
In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the aviation industry due to travel restrictions and a slump in demand among travelers. Significant reductions in flights numbers for both domestic and international have had a profound effect on AGS business. Although facing many difficulties, the enthusiasm and unanimity of all employees with the motto "both good anti-pandemic - completed the assigned tasks", AGS always makes sure the safety and security in operation, successfully serves rescue flights, and complies with government regulations.
Looking back at the past journey, the AGS team has done many great things, but many great tasks and challenges are still ahead. Future success depends on what you do today. It is hoped that 5-year milestone will be only the starting point of the new journeys in the next 10 or 20 years with more and more success; especially, hope that each member of AGS always remains the flame of enthusiasm and passion, works by both intellect and heart, sticks together in order to make AGS better - not only bring the trust to customers and partners but also bring the values to oneself and the company as well as positively contribute into the development the sustainable development of society and the community.
