WELCOME BANGKOK AIRWAYS ON BECOMING A CUSTOMER OF AGS CO., LTD

At 12:05 on January, 25th, 2019, flight PG993 operated by Bangkok Airways which carried 144 passengers from Suvarnabhumi, Bangkok, Thailand landed on Cam Ranh International Airport, marked the first ever direct commercial flight from Bangkok, Thailand to Nhatrang city, Khanh Hoa Province- one of the most famous tourism cities in Vietnam.          

“Bangkok Airways’ Inaugural Flight” Ceremony was celebrated to congratulate the Airlines on this new route as well as the co-operation between Bangkok Airways and AGS Co, Ltd – Ground Handling Agent for Bangkok Airways at Cam Ranh International Airport. Attending the ceremony, there were Minister-Counsellor of Thailand’ Embassy in Vietnam, leaders of Cam Ranh International airport’s authorities and state agencies, representatives from Khanh Hoa’s Department of Tourism, , Vice President and representatives of Bangkok Airways; and representatives of services providers: CRTC, AGS, Petrolimex…

Bangkok Airways was founded in 1968, initially, the airlines was called Sahakol Air, but in 1989 the name was changed into Bangkok Airways and this name was kept ever since. Bangkok Airways is the first ever public owned airlines in Thailand and a member of IATA. The airlines operate from two hubs in Thailand, Suvarnabhumi International airport in Bangkok and Samui International airport in Koh Samui. Since its establishment, Bangkok Airways has constantly grown, rose to become a prestigious airline in the region and received many awards for quality of service: from 2004 to 2018, the airline has consecutively won Skytrax’s annual award "World's Best Regional Airline" and "Best regional airline in Asia”. Smart Travel Asia magazine ranked Bangkok Airways in the "Top 10 Airlines Worldwide) and “Top 10 Best Cabin Service Worldwide” and also awarded by Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation (CAPA) with "Asia Pacific Airline of the Year” award.

The airlines also operates to more than 20 destinations from Thailand, Cambodia, China, Japan, Laos, Maldives, Myanmar, Singapore and Vietnam. In Vietnam, Nha Trang is the 4th destination, after the commercial success of flight route from Danang – Bangkok; Phu Quoc Island – Bangkok; Hanoi – Chiang Mai which started operating since 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively. Bangkok Airways offers 4 flights per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) from Bangkok to Cam Ranh. The carrier will use aircraft types: ATR72, Airbus A319 and A320 for this route. Flight number PG993 takes off at 10h20’ from Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Bangkok) and lands on Cam Ranh International Airport at 12h05’. The outbound flight, PG994 leaves Cam Ranh at 12h55’ and arrive in Bangkok at 14h40’.
